The Urgency Of Seeking Christ Above All Else | My Notes

On September 29, 2023, at 2:40pm, I took the time to read my Bible and made several notes.  These are those notes, unedited.  

1 Corinthians 2:1-16 - "...that your faith should be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God." 1 Corinthians 2:5 NKJV

Place God above all else; nothing must be more important than Him.

*Our greatest need is to know Christ and the power of his resurrection.  

The cross is the central point of our preaching.  In its light, problems are solved and true direction is found.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.  Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil." - Proverbs 3:5-7 NKJV

*The urgency of listening to God. 

People become miserable when they think they know what to do.  There is power in NOT knowing and leaning on God.

Human wisdom doesn't determine the things of God.  Human wisdom crucified God.

Why should we now turn to the wisdom of God.  

The urgency of having the mind of God.

No one can know God apart from God.
